It seems like every self-aware exerciser has some sort of asymmetry they’re trying to manage. . 🦄Fear not my friends- this problem might not be as far out of reach as you think. Instead of trying to find someone to realign you, give these exercises a try. . 🐠Compare sides. Does one leg work better than the other? The goal is simple: even out those legs and hips. Like all of you, I too have some hip asymmetry. I like to keep my hips honest by constantly challenging my left to keep up with my right. . 🐙When it comes to evening out the hips: a nice mix of range of motion and stability/control exercises are the best bet. Neuromuscular training is a huge part of rehab and decreasing the risk of reinjury. What I’m looking for is trunk, hip and knee stability (minimal movement). This exercise also works on her quads ability to decelerate her body after slamming the ball. This is a challenging exercise as you can see her trunk lean and hip rotation compensations. #WesleyTalksACLs ——- 🙌🏼 Tag someone who could use this exercise! 🤷🏼♂️ Post questions or comments below!👇" ̐ #neuroscience #physio #movement #rehab #strengthandconditioning #painmanagement #sportsperformance #pain #posture #stretching #prehab #bodyhack #bodyhackuae #aclrecovery #athlete #physiology #motivation #stretching #athlete #balancetraining #training #motivation #flexibility #physiology #sport #strength #strengthconditioning #neurology #mobility #mobilidade

Link in my profile! - Your QL muscle (quadratus lumborum) can cause you all sorts of back pain and refer pain into your hip and glutes. Having a tight QL can mean frustrating back pain that can cause way too much trouble😡 - What does the Quadratus Lumborum muscle do? - It's located from the top of your pelvis and attaches on to the bottom rib and the side of your spine. It helps you extend backwards, bend to the side, bend forwards and can help in breathing! The QL can also refer pain into the butt and side of the hip! - Symptoms of QL Dysfunction! 👉 Deep, aching in the low back, often worse in sitting or standing 👉 Pain with coughing and sneezing 👉 Pain rolling to either side when lying on your back 👉 Pain can refer to the groin and mimic sciatica symptoms 👉 You may have one side of your pelvis lifted higher than the other - HERE'S HOW TO PERFORM THE QL RELEASE! 💥 I have my trusty golf club again, but you can use the handle of anything! 1️⃣ Grab your weapon of choice for this Release! 2️⃣ Pin it somewhere it won't move too much! I pinned my golf club on the window sill, and it's the perfect height! 💥 Finding the QL If you read the description above, we know that the QL is on between the bottom rib and top of the pelvis and it's on the side of the spine! 3️⃣ Now that we know where it is! We want to go into the QL at about a 45-degree angle. Not right from the side or back but at an angle! Place the end of the stick on the QL at a 45-degree angle! 4️⃣ Side Bend towards the stick! 5️⃣ Put pressure into the QL with the stick! 6️⃣ Now side bend in the other direction and reach your arm up and over! 7️⃣ Repeat! - Like, Comment and Tag a Friend who needs relief from Low Back Pain 🙌🏻 - #joetherapy #bodybuilding #deadlifts #golffitness #nba #nfl #nhl #ifbb #npc #powerlifting #fitfam #fitspo #fitness #lowbackpain #lumbar #nike #adidas #puma #youtube #sportsperformancehub #instaphysio #prehab #visualcontent #contentcreator #wellnessjourney #holistichealth #mindbodyspiri
- RepostBy @dr.caleb.burgess: "💥Prone Thoracic Extension with Towel💥 - 📌 Prone press-ups can work great to improve LUMBAR spine mobility into extension although it's hard to bias the movement in the THORACIC spine if this is the area you are trying to target - 📌 Placing a folded towel under your forearms to "pin down" the thoracic spine can help to better isolate the movement in this area - 📌 And if you want to work on extension mobility higher up in the thoracic spine, grabbing the towel and pulling DOWN and FORWARD can help to move the fulcrum higher - 💥 Try short holds for more reps (e.g. 5 second holds for 20 reps) or long holds (e.g. 20 second holds for 10 reps) depending on the goal of the exercise and what feels better for you - ❤️ TAG someone who could benefit from working on their thoracic spine mobility 👌🏼" ̐ #spine #health #chiropractor #backpain #wellness #fitness #adjustment #healthylifestyle #medicine #chiropractic #healthy #posture #bones #motivation #holistic #doctor #back #pain #medical #lifestyle #neuroscience #physio #movement #rehab #strengthandconditioning #painmanagement #sportsperformance #posture #stretching #bodyhack @luna_wolf_online
- RepostBy @docjenfit: "💥AVOID PLANE PAIN💥 Say that 5 times fast 😜 Now, before we begin, I believe the BEST remedy to relieving plane pains and discomfort is actually improving your mobility and strength BEFORE getting on a plane! . We always want the quick fix for that particular moment, or only at that time, but the reality is, if you’re getting pain EVERY time you ride a plane, the problem is not the plane... it’s you 😳 . Oh. Harsh, I know. But true. We need to stop looking for the quick fix. How many times do you need to hear that it doesn’t exist 🤨 . If you want to begin learning what YOUR individual body needs (not someone else’s!), I would highly recommend diving into The Mobility Method. You are NOT your diagnosis. There is NOT one fix for all injuries/pain. Your body is indeed unique and should be treated as such. So, click the link in the bio and get searching https://ift.tt/2MHuP8Z . Now, in the meantime, here are some stretches that CAN help relieve some discomfort you may experience from time to time on a plane. . Keep in mind: 💥This NOT a permanent fix 💥Pain WILL come back if not addressed from the root cause 💥If you are a bit taller and in economy, I understand some of these will be a bit difficult to accomplish (especially the last one 😜) 💥Overall, I highly recommend rolling a pillow, blanket or jacket behind the back for support 💥The neck stretches are AWESOME. Do them often, and make sure you have a double chin to start . Last, please forgive the super cute 15+ hour plane hair I have going on! It’s a new look I’m going for 💁♀️ . Next time you’re on a plane, keep these in mind! Have a friend who travels often?
