With soaring cliffs, cascading waterfalls, crystal clear pools and majestic old trees through which the sun dapples, Upper Tonquani is considered by many as the most beautiful and spectacular of all Magaliesberg kloofs.Karien Bezuidenhout and Marzelle van der Merwe, both competitive female trail runners, decided to spend a weekend exploring this magical place. Seeing that the Tonquani complex stretches for kilometre after kilometre, going light and fast was their only option.
